Chief Executive Officer

With nearly thirty years of diverse leadership experience, directing
advanced technology initiatives; Alfred has gained a reputation
as a dynamic leader who is respected for his vision, high standards,
and for managing teams of productive technical associates.
His commitment to delivering excellence in complex information
systems and telecommunications policy and operations, computer
security, privacy, software development, financial and human
resources, and advanced technology insertion raises the bar and
drives performance at all levels of our organization.
As director of business and technology operations for MSB, Alfred
oversees tactical and strategic activities involving advanced
concept technology developments for the Department of Defense,
as well as developing architecture for advanced commercial satellite
networks, computer system security, program management, and integration
on other diverse computer applications. He has also led the MSB
technical design and computer security teams on projects for
the National Archives and Records Administration, and Internal
Revenue Service.
Beyond this, Alfred is helping grow MSB as a world-class IT
consulting team with the technical expertise and business acumen
to develop superior solutions for our clients that sharpen their
competitive edge and further their success.

Shawn A. Butler, Ph.D.
Software & Security Engineer
Senior Research Scientist, Carnegie Mellon University
Shawn possesses a unique skill set, placing her
among an esteemed group of IT professionals and research scientists
who are responsible
for developing and teaching next wave solutions at Carnegie
Mellon University.
There she is conducting
research in developing software engineering analysis techniques
to assist software engineers in making cost-effective technical
decisions, and security metrics for risk-mitigation decisions.
This strong foundation in research and development gives Shawn
a depth of perspective that is backed by over twenty years of
in-the-trenches experience in developing systems and engineering
solutions, including software development, systems architecture,
program management and requirements development, legacy systems
integration, and security engineering.
Able to balance the business case with the technical
potential of today’s complex systems, Shawn is an extremely valuable
asset and contributor to our senior consulting team. She is
lead developer on MSB’s proprietary decision analysis
and support tool, Secure Insight that helps clients gain
a better perspective as to the allocation of security resources.
